SERA works to enhance the investment environment in the electricity sector and protect investor rights through a clear and stable regulatory framework in accordance with the electricity system.
SERA considers investor participation with electricity activities to be crucial for the development and sustainability of these activities in the Kingdom. It has, therefore, prioritized the creation of an environment conducive to encouraging investors to participate and invest in these activities. SERA is also keen to safeguard the rights and interests of licensees, and to provide a clear, stable, non-discriminatory regulatory framework for electricity activities, in accordance with the provisions of the Electricity Law issued by Royal Decree No. (M/44) dated 16/05/1442 AH and SERA’s Charter issued by Council of Ministers Resolution No. (263) dated 14/05/1442 AH.
